Intro to TESDA
TESDA is an acronym for Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, a program under the Philippines' DOLE or Department of Labor and Employment. It was signed into law under former president Fidel Ramos and intends to give certified training and skills to people who want to work at very affordable rates.
Under TESDA, anybody can learn just about anything on how to make a living, mainly because of the specialized technical/vocational skills it gives. They even have online training programs for those who might find the commute to TESDA training centers troublesome.
Besides giving livelihood skills to people, TESDA also certifies these skills and competencies, which can help make you eligible to work abroad as an OFW.
