New Era University or NEU, is a private university run by the Iglesia ni Cristo whose flagship campus is found in Quezon City, Metro Manila. It was founded in the 70s, but has grown much since then is now a major player in Philippine Higher Education.
It offers K12, undergraduate and graduate degrees and is selective, with only students who have a general average of at least 83 and passed the NEU entrance test considered for admission. Although its primary mission is to serve the INC community, non-INC members are welcome to join the university.
It offers a wide variety of majors from areas like the arts, sciences and management. It also competes and wins regularly in academic competitions and national licensure exams and has notably been the alma mater of the latest board top-notcher for nursing, Kristine Danan, who scored 86.2% and beat other established institutions like OLFU and PLM.

Mapua Institute of Technology
The Mapúa Institute of Technology is a STEM focused institute founded by Tomas Mapúa, a graduate of Cornell University, in 1925. Its main campus can be found in Intramuros, Manila, and offers a variety of majors in the sciences, with a tilt towards engineering.
After being purchased by the Yuchengco Group of Companies, the Institute continues its heritage of excellence, and continues to excel in the board exams for various disciplines.

Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)
The Polytechnic University of the Philippines is the Philippines' first polytechnic university, founded in 1904. It is a public institution that began as the Manila Business School during the American Era, and grew to become one of the biggest higher education institutions in the Philippines based on student population.
It has campuses in Metro Manila, and both central and southern Luzon. With 1483 full time faculty, it has a student to faculty ratio of over 45 to 1. It is one of the best public tertiary institution in the country, and its students are styled iskolars ng bayan, just like their peers at the University of the Philippines.
