Wesleyan University, in cooperation with the Freeman Foundation has made this dream possible for Filipinos and other Asians possible since the inception of the scholarship in 1995.
The scholarship covers your tuition and your room, board and personal expenses, as determined by your financial profile.
Applicants do not need to pay an application fee, but they must apply just like everyone else through the Common Application and submit their SAT scores and CSS Financial Aid Profile.
A group of finalists chosen from the larger pool of applicants will be notified and interviewed. One of them will be selected as the Filipino Freeman scholar for this admissions cycle.
GUIDE TO INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL AID
Wesleyan is a top liberal arts college in Middletown, Connecticut, near Boston and New York, and counts America's top universities as its peers. Students enjoy small class sizes, a tightly knit college community as big as one batch in many Philippine universities, a liberal political atmosphere and an equally liberal curriculum.
Applicants are encouraged to prepare ahead of time, given that their application will require teacher recommendations, multiple essays and close coordination with their school's guidance counselor.
More information can be found directly from the Wesleyan University website.
